Radiation Safety Training

Training is required for all lab members, including the PI, who plan to work with radioactive materials, radiation producing machines, uranyl acetate, thorium, and lasers. A full list of training requirements for personnel working in research laboratories are available online here

Radiation Safety Prerequisites (Before Training)

Laboratory-Specific Training (onsite) is provided by the Principal Investigator (or their designee, such as a Lab Manager) to all lab members and must be completed prior to beginning work in the laboratory and before attending training provided by the Radiation Safety Department.

IMPORTANT: These MUST be signed by the PI and brought to the Initial Training.
